Russell is the owner and head dentist here at Booragoon Dental Clinic. He was born in Cardiff, Wales and moved out to Australia as a child. He graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Sciences (BSc) in 1991. He subsequently decided to pursue a degree in dentistry and graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDSc) in 1996. He is registered with the Dental Board of Australia as a General Dentist.
For the last 15 years Russell has been consolidating this degree by furthering his career and gaining qualifications in various aspects within dentistry including Implant Dentistry, Snoring and Sleep Dentistry, and Invisalign. Russell is very proactive in keeping his practice up to date with the most recent dental advancements. He is an active member of the ADA (Australian Dental Association). He is a State and Federal executive council officer for the AOS (Australasian Osseointegration Society). He is also a member of the ASID (Australian Society of Implant Dentistry), the ASP (Australian Society of Periodontology) and the ASA (Australian Sleep Association).
Russell has a keen interest in Sedation Dentistry and treating phobic patients. His other main interests include implant and reconstructive dentistry, and various cosmetic procedures to enhance patient’s smiles.
Outside of work Russell enjoys spending time with his family. He is happily married to Jennifer and they have two young sons. Russell is also an avid gardener.
David moved to Australia from Ireland in 2006 after graduating with honors in the BDS (Bachelor Dental Surgery) degree from the National University of Ireland (University College of Cork). Of note, in his final year, David also was awarded the Noel Hayes Award for Oral Surgery and the award from the British Undergraduate Society for Restorative Dentistry. In 2005 David was also accepted as a member of the Student Clinicians of the American Dental Association for project work on molar/incisor hypomineralisation.
David has been with this practice since early 2008 and has proven himself to be an excellent addition to this clinic. Whilst being here David has actively taken steps to further his career by qualifying in both Implant placement and Invisalign. He has a keen interest in surgical procedures, including implant placement and wisdom teeth extractions. He also enjoys the cosmetic aspect of dentistry, including veneers, crowns and bridges.
Outside of work, David is a keen sportsman. In his youth, he has represented Ireland on an international level in swimming having attended the European Youth Olympics. Today he has a keen interest in Crossfit and in 2011 participated in the world games as part of a team.
In 2012 Frances graduated from the University of Western Australia with the degree Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDSc). She is the third generation of the Denney family to hold this qualification with both her Grandfather and Father also having the degree BDSc WA. Frances grew up in Busselton in Western Australia’s South West, she moved to Perth in 2007 to begin her studies.
Since graduating Frances has enjoyed working in both rural and metropolitan dental clinics, consolidating and building on her clinical skill set. Frances is interested in all aspects of Dentistry, she enjoys cosmetic and restorative dentistry, Invisalign and is keen to build on her surgical and implant skills, which she is actively doing by attending courses. Frances also has a strong interest in Cad Cam technology, which allows dentists to design fillings and crowns on a computer. Frances is caring and compassionate, she is understanding of patient’s individual circumstances, needs and wants and works together with her patients to ensure the best outcome is achieved.
Outside of dentistry Frances loves to visit her family in Busselton where they enjoy taking the boat out and visiting some of the many nice wineries and restaurants the south has to offer. She also enjoys travel both within Australia and overseas and loves a challenge taking some of the paths less travelled. Frances is very proud to have successfully hiked to Mount Everest Base Camp in 2013.
Jacque began her career in dentistry in her hometown in Brazil, where she graduated as a Dental Prosthesis Technician in 2004. Soon after she came to Australia to experience the culture and learn the language, little did she know that she would fall in love with the country and call Australia home.
In 2006 Jacque began working as a Dental Assistant, in Sydney and four years later she decided to pursue yet another avenue of Dentistry. She enrolled in the Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle and graduated as a Dental Hygienist.
Her primary focus is preventive dentistry, offering education and preventive services to her patients, in order to maintain optimal oral health. Her qualification also allows her to diagnose and treat gum disease as well as assist in orthodontic procedures. Jacque is passionate about oral health and is constantly furthering her education in order to deliver the best care to her patients. Jacque has exceptional interpersonal skills and her gentle nature is sure to keep you at ease during your hygiene appointment.
In her spare time Jacque likes to be outdoors, bike riding, rowing or paddle boarding on the swan river as well as travelling back to her home town to visit friends and family.
