Invisalign involves wearing a series of clear, removable aligners (trays) which are changed every two weeks. Each aligner is slightly different to the one before meaning that with each change, your teeth are moved in to that new position. Because all aligners are removable, patients can eat and drink as normal and brush and floss as normal in order to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
While Invisalign is a great alternative to regular orthodontics there are some movements that are outside its capabilities in which case your dentist will refer you on to an orthodontist. As this is very case specific we encourage anyone who is interested to contact our surgery to organise a consultation.
Our Doctors hold registrations as General Dentists and they have undertaken continuing education courses in orthodontics and hold appropriate certification to undertake the orthodontic treatments being offered.
You should be aware that there is inherent risk in any surgical or invasive procedure. Before proceeding with surgery ensure you seek the guidance from a medical professional such as Dr Fine from Booragoon Dental Clinic. Results shown may vary from individual to individual.
